Diary of a Mom, Baker, & Photographer: 2016

Pin It I am a tough girl, always on the go. When I am eating I am also thinking on my to do list, making calculations, designing my next cake, editing pictures, vacations, phone calls...my mind never stops. I never stop!

But today as I am holding M, my 4 year old, I am reminded of the greatness of God, the importance of STOPPING and taking it all in. She is falling asleep as I run my fingers through her naturally highlighted hair. I love her, nothing in the world compares to my love for her. Yet I let things take her place in my day to day.
Suddenly I feel so blessed!
I love her.

As I am enjoying my time looking at those eyes fighting to stay open, I feel a greater love calling my name. I have to admit that sometimes I have a hard time listening to God.
But as I'm holding M I realize this kind of love, the one a mother feels for her child, although authentic, is not original, it was felt from the beginning of times by my Father who loves me even more than my heart could ever endure.

God is here, no need to cry out, He is here. And He loves me, He forgives me more than I forgive myself. He cares for me. He loves me. He sees my struggles, my emotions, my stress. He loves me. He forgets my sin, my ungratefulness, my failures. He loves me.

God is speaking to my heart.
Every day He reminds me in the little things. I just need to STOP and feel it.
He loves me.
